We have invested a large amount of time and thousands of dollars acquiring exceptional Miniature Dachshunds for our breeding program. Many cost $1500 to $4000 dollars. We never regret or hesitate investing in quality for the long term. It is true that “you get what you pay for”. It is very costly to maintain an excellent environment for our dogs to be raised, well cared for and using top quality food. It is a love of the breed and being able to share this unique comical little canine with other families.

It is indeed also very costly and time consuming to show and finish a dog to Champion status. Finishing a dog may cost up to 3000.00 and some dogs although show worthy, don’t adapt to the ring environment. Showing requires dedication; months of consistent work growing up, training and grooming for show and traveling. We appreciate and thank those showing breeders and handlers who do the hard work, keeping the standard true, and for those whom we have nurtured a relationship to have acquired some of the finest Dachshunds for our breeding program.

We currently own finished champions and most of our Dachshunds are champion parented with heavy champion pedigrees. This lends a solid genetic foundation to our breeding program for true to breed standard miniature Dachshunds. Since it is our policy and primary focus to place our puppies in companion homes, temperament is of the utmost importance while striving for beauty and consistent quality overall.

We own all parents residing with us on the ranch and breed only our own dogs. We do not offer stud service. We have several generations born on the ranch. Select puppies are kept for our own breeding program thus giving us more knowledge of what we can expect from our future breeding by having the past.

We do not breed for “Tiny’s or Toy’s”, which is not the breed standard. Often breeders are using inferior dogs in health, looks and size to get this “type”. We breed for consistent, solid, healthy Dachshund puppies. Most of our dogs average in weight from 9-12 lbs. Genetics, diet and exercise all play a roll in weight at maturity.

It is our personal policy to retire most of our adult females by or before 3-4 yr. of age on Spay agreement. We absolutely do not sell to be further bred. We offer our retiring adults for adoption to loving homes seeking mature companionship. We also occasionally have youngsters to young adults available on Spay/Neuter agreement who may have never bred . These dogs make wonderful companions with many years to give; they are past the puppy stage and have vaccines current. If you’re looking to adopt an adult please contact us, we’d be happy to discuss what may be available and adoption fee. We do not ship our adults, you must arrange to pick up in person.

“FULL AKC REGISTRATION” = (show/breed privileges) may be considered on an individual basis to a show home on private treaty or Co-Own. Note: On occasion we may have a puppy(s), youngsters or young adults available which may be priced less. Reasons may be a minor cosmetic issue such as a kinked tail, not the overall quality we expect, or might be just a bit older. None pose any health concern whatsoever.

We may hold back select offspring from a specific breeding to evaluate over a period of 3-6 months of age. During this time we’re able to better define if they may be of show potential, a quality addition to our breeding program or to adopt out as a family companion only.
